Morton College

Campus Master Plan

In response to increases in student enrollment, changes in instructional delivery, new programmatic needs, and other demands placed upon it by its community, building renovations have sporadically been implemented at Morton College over the past 30 years.

The College recently asked our team to assist in the development of a comprehensive Master Plan to allow the College to create a flexible framework for growth for future years. The Planning Objectives that drove the planning process included:

  • Enhancement of the Campus image
  • Development of a user-friendly entry sequence
  • Creation of a student-centered environment
  • Development of additional student life space
  • Improvement of vehicular circulation
  • Facilitation of partnership opportunities

In addition to a series of interior renovations, the final consensus plan included the following proposed new facilities:

  • Allied Health Center
  • Community Instructional / Culinary Center
  • Fitness Center Expansion
  • Campus Operations Building
  • Early Childhood Education Center
  • Athletic Field Complex
