KJWW Engineering Consultants is a firm that values their staff and prides itself on being an exceptional place to make a career. In addition to designing a space to accommodate the firm’s current and future operations, DKA was hired to create a work environment that demonstrated the value KJWW places on their employees and move past the prototypical “engineering” aesthetic.

At its core, the plan reinforces the collaborative team process across the multiple engineering disciplines within the firm. The carefully laid out plan reinforces and never impedes the engineering workflow. In order to support the work and the employee, strict attention was paid to the detail of workstation ergonomics, functionality and comfort while allowing for ongoing teaming and collaboration. Cost effective use of translucent panels between workstations provide functional separation, yet allows visual connectivity.
