The Putt Club

Golf Entertainment Facility

The Putt Club owners wanted to bring a semi-realistic putting venue, a new form of Golf Entertainment which sparsely exists in a few Southern States, to the Midwest. Due to the weather conditions in the Midwest, indoor putting was a necessary component of the building to keep the business open year-round. This added area more than doubled the building size of a comparable Southern facility, however, in order to make the business pro-forma work, DKA designed a very economical structure that can be built anywhere in the U.S. with features that appeal to all demographics

The new Golf Entertainment Facility includes the following programmatic elements:

  • 18 exterior holes of semi-realistic synthetic turf putting
  • 18 interior holes of semi-realistic synthetic turf putting
  • Full-service kitchen, restaurant and bar for 120 people
  • Outdoor dining deck for 60 people

The exterior and interior are designed using attractive, cost effective, and maintenance free materials shaped and lighted in such a way to be playful and exciting. The East Peoria facility is located on the Illinois River directly across from Peoria, IL. The restaurant, bar, deck, indoor and outdoor putting areas are purposefully positioned so that all of these spaces enjoy the magnificent views of the river, city skyline and lighted bridge.
