Morton College had not expanded its facilities in decades despite steady enrollment growth over the years. In order to respond to a culmination of space needs, the college engaged our team to develop a new Classroom Addition to address the most urgent needs on campus. These space needs included the following:
The two-story addition was designed as a natural extension of the existing campus structures, utilizing similar materials and proportions, while at the same time, incorporating a glassy stair tower facing the community in an effort to create a sense of transparency into the new facility.
