In an effort to increase its presence and accessibility within its community, the Wabash Valley Region of the Ivy Tech Community College system strategically identified a site in Greencastle, Indiana to construct a satellite campus.
The 45-acre site will ultimately be shared with the local municipality who intends to construct a community center and a fire station and the site. The balance of the site will be dedicated to college facilities.
Based on the development of our site analysis, it became evident that the site presented numerous challenges including extensive wetlands, a municipal sewer easement, and a desire to maintain as much of the natural wooded areas as possible. All of these parameters were considered, while at the same time, providing maximum flexibility for future growth of buildings and parking.
