BigShots Golf Springfield

The founder of BigShots Golf hired DKA to create a prototypical facility that would provide all the amenities that are found in TopGolf facilities, but with improved technology and to be profitable in smaller municipalities like Springfield, MO.

This new Golf Entertainment Facility includes the following programmatic elements:

• Spacious two-story entry with views through the building to the golfing range
• Two levels of 28 Golfing Bays, 56 total bays
• Full-service kitchen, restaurant and bar for 120 people
• Outdoor semi-realistic synthetic turf putting course and dining for 40 people
• 2 large event rooms for 75 people each
• Upstairs VIP bar area for 80 people
• Golf practice bays and covered semi-realistic synthetic turf putting practice

The prototypical design was reconfigured, re-clad, and improved upon for the specific needs of the Springfield, MO urban environment. Being across a busy street from a large, multi-story hotel, at an intersection of major highways, and adjacent to a residential community required DKA to work closely with the hotel to collaborate and create rentable conference spaces, create innovative traffic solutions on the busy roadways, and provide written and physical exhibits that proved to community members and council members that the facility would not negatively affect neighboring homes with light or noise.
