Golf Entertainment Facility

A Golf Entertainment Facility proposed to be located on an existing golf course, adjacent to a hotel property, one mile from the Texas Motor Speedway, in a flood zone, adjacent to I-35 created a series of design opportunities for DKA in the design of this new facility. In order to accommodate these opportunities, we designed spaces for golf lessons to support the golf course, created more and larger conference rooms for the hotel needs, located additional viewing areas for race fans, provided clever solutions to allow water to flow through and under building elements during Texas floods, and managed to get the appropriate sign-offs from all of the required authorities having jurisdiction over construction projects such as these.

The new Golf Entertainment Facility includes the following programmatic elements:

  • Spacious two-story entry with views through the building to the golfing range
  • Two levels of 28 Golfing Bays, 56 total bays
  • Full-service kitchen, restaurant and bar for 120 people
  • Outdoor semi-realistic synthetic turf putting course and dining for 40 people
  • 2 large event rooms for 75 people each
  • Upstairs VIP bar area for 80 people
  • Golf practice bays and covered semi-realistic synthetic turf putting practice

The illuminated two-story glass entry with its iconic sun shielding brow provides a wow factor upon entry, a lasting impression of quality, and views through the building to the root of the project: golfing and socializing. The entry glows, creating a welcoming view from the hotel, the golf course, and through the building from the interstate.
