DKA principals worked closely with Francois Durmaz Development Company to design a sixteen-story, five star boutique hotel over a three level shopping mall and two levels of underground parking in the rapidly growing business district in Adana, Turkey.
The building was designed to be atop a large hill that could be seen from nearly every vantage point within the city. The sharp angles, and glass walls contrast with pre-cast concrete and were introduced as elements to demonstrate that the building includes the latest in western amenities and comfort. The mall was designed using indigenous stone for the walls and features skylights similar to the domes noticed on many of the buildings in the area.
